Director, Facilities
Lila Sciences is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Facilities to oversee the management of multiple facilities. This role involves developing a scalable facilities strategy, ensuring safety and compliance across sites, and managing budgets, capital planning, vendor relationships, and key performance indicators. The Director will lead a cross-functional team to build and grow a world-class facilities organization that supports the company's scientific mission.
Key responsibilities include defining and executing a comprehensive facilities strategy aligned with company growth and operational risk posture. The Director will build, mentor, and lead a high-performing facilities team, establish clear career paths, and foster a culture rooted in safety, reliability, and continuous improvement. Additionally, the role involves managing multi-site budgets, overseeing capital planning, standardizing maintenance processes, and implementing governance and compliance controls.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Business, or a related field, with an advanced degree or professional certifications being a plus. A minimum of 8–15 years of facilities management experience, particularly in life sciences or related industries, is required. The candidate should have a proven ability to design and implement scalable facilities strategies, manage large budgets and vendor ecosystems, and cultivate a safety-first culture. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills are essential.
