Director, Implementational Planning
The Director of Implementational Planning at WPP Media is a pivotal role within the OpenDoor team, a collaborative initiative between WPP and Amazon. This position is based in London, United Kingdom, and focuses on leading strategic media planning and execution for Amazon's diverse portfolio, including XCM, Prime Video, and RMI. The role requires a deep understanding of integrated media strategies and the ability to drive media transformation projects.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the end-to-end execution of media campaigns across various channels such as reserved media, social, search, programmatic, and e-commerce. The Director will manage and mentor a team of Implementation Planning Managers and Senior Executives, ensuring campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client objectives. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with activation, analytics, and trading teams to monitor campaign performance and optimize strategies accordingly.
The ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience in managing high-performing teams and advanced expertise in media planning and buying across digital channels. A strong understanding of trading deals, KPI management, and global partnership frameworks is essential. Exceptional client-facing communication and presentation skills, along with proficiency in media planning tools and data analysis platforms, are also required.
