Key responsibilities include managing all aspects of lateral hire onboarding, from pre-arrival coordination to ongoing support through their first year and beyond. The Director develops and executes custom integration plans, collaborates with attorneys, practice groups, and administrative teams, and tracks key performance milestones. This position also gathers feedback, identifies integration challenges, and crafts solutions to promote engagement and maximize retention of lateral talent.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree (law degree preferred), substantial experience in attorney recruiting or professional development within a law firm, and a demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-office integration projects. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, a strategic mindset, and an ability to work collaboratively with senior partners and cross-functional teams are essential. Experience with change management, data tracking, and project management will be highly valued.
