Director, Mitratech Catalyst

Mitratech is seeking a Director for Mitratech Catalyst, a hands-on technical leader responsible for launching new applications using AI-augmented development practices within rapid 8–12 week delivery cycles. This role bridges product engineering and organizational transformation, focusing on developing and transitioning new products to divisional engineering teams for continued advancement.

Key responsibilities include leading end-to-end development of new applications from concept to production release, defining architecture and technology stacks, and making build-versus-buy decisions optimized for speed and maintainability. The Director will utilize AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, and documentation processes, while personally contributing to production code alongside a high-velocity team. Ensuring that all software meets Mitratech’s standards for security, scalability, and cloud-native deployment is essential.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of shipping production applications at scale. Experience leading 0→1 product builds in fast-paced environments is crucial, along with deep fluency in AI-assisted development workflows and strong architectural instincts across full-stack, cloud-native systems. The ability to effectively hand off complex systems to other teams with clear documentation and knowledge transfer is also required.
