Director of Acquisitions
The Director of Acquisitions at Bisnow will lead the sourcing, underwriting, and closing of real estate opportunities, utilizing market intelligence to drive investment strategies. This role offers broad influence, autonomy, and the opportunity to shape our growing portfolio.
Key responsibilities include sourcing and originating high-quality opportunities nationwide using deep market intelligence and industry relationships. The Director will lead the full deal lifecycle: sourcing, underwriting, internal approvals, negotiations, due diligence, financing, and closing. Building and maintaining strong relationships with brokers, lenders, owners, receivers, and other key partners is essential. Additionally, the role involves refining investment strategies, analyzing markets, and delivering insights that guide executive decisions. The Director will also prepare and present investment memos to leadership and the investment committee, and partner across finance, legal, asset management, construction, and development to ensure flawless execution and transition post-close.
Candidates should have 7–10 years of acquisitions experience with a concentration in multifamily, distressed assets, industrial, and/or land assets. Proven success in sourcing, underwriting, negotiating, and closing complex transactions is required. Strong financial modeling and valuation expertise, including IRR, equity multiple, cash on cash, and sensitivity/scenario analysis, is essential. Deep capital markets knowledge and experience with exchanges and debt financing are also necessary. A strong industry network and demonstrated ability to generate deal flow, along with exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, are important. A Bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA is strongly preferred.
The target compensation range for this position is $150,000-$175,000 annually, with a target, performance-based bonus of up to 30%.
