Director, Policy Development

Wolt is seeking a Director of Policy Development to join its Global Policy Team's Policy Development and Research Group. This pivotal role involves shaping the legal and regulatory framework for Wolt and Deliveroo across Europe and the Middle East. The position is based in Berlin, Germany.

In this role, the Director will lead regulatory analysis on significant legislative proposals, translating complex legal processes into actionable business outcomes for senior leadership. Responsibilities include managing the full policy development cycle—from horizon scanning and position development to advocacy and external engagement—in dynamic and politically sensitive environments. The Director will also represent Wolt and Deliveroo externally with industry groups, regulators, academics, think tanks, and other stakeholders, aiming to shape the broader policy environment and establish the companies as constructive voices in regulatory debates.

Candidates should have over 10 years of professional experience in the legal field or government/policy development within an international context, with a proven track record in handling a wide range of legislative and regulatory issues. A Master of Laws degree from a reputable EU university or equivalent legal experience is required. Experience with digital platforms, mobile apps, or software solutions is advantageous. Fluency in English, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, is essential. The role demands a self-starter capable of operating in a global business environment, demonstrating cross-cultural competence and flexibility, and willing to travel occasionally within Europe and the U.S.
