Director, Senior Legal Counsel
The Director, Senior Legal Counsel at Sandisk serves as a key legal advisor to the Revenue organization, collaborating closely with Sales, Sales Operations, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive commercial outcomes while managing legal and business risks. This role is integral to Sandisk, a company renowned for its innovative data solutions and advanced memory technologies.
Key responsibilities include providing expert legal counsel on complex commercial, regulatory, and dispute matters to enable business objectives while mitigating risks. The role involves leading legal strategies for critical transactions and strategic agreements, structuring terms, negotiating risk allocations, and ensuring enforceable protections aligned with governance requirements. Additionally, the position requires advising senior leaders on legal and compliance implications of significant business initiatives, developing and maintaining legal standards, templates, and negotiation guidance to improve contracting consistency and efficiency, and guiding compliance and governance execution by interpreting laws and supporting responses to audits and inquiries.
The ideal candidate must be a US-licensed attorney with over 8 years of substantial commercial experience, preferably including in-house roles. Demonstrated expertise in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements and a proven track record in providing pragmatic, business-focused legal advice to senior stakeholders are essential. Strong negotiation and contract drafting skills, along with excellent written, communication, and interpersonal abilities, are required to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Experience in the hardware and/or semiconductor industries is preferred.
Sandisk offers a comprehensive compensation package, including a salary range of $205,334 to $290,835, eligibility to participate in the Short-Term Incentive Plan based on company and individual performance, and potential participation in the annual Long-Term Incentive program, which consists of restricted stock units or cash equivalents.
