Director, Supply & Properties Counsel (Bangkok-based, Relocation Provided)
The Director, Supply & Properties Counsel will be based in Bangkok, joining Agoda’s dynamic legal team within one of the world's fastest growing online travel platforms. This role plays a pivotal part in supporting Agoda’s supply and properties business segment, providing strategic legal guidance on issues across numerous jurisdictions. The position is ideal for entrepreneurial legal professionals looking to have impact at a global technology company with a strong Asian presence and an international workforce.
Key responsibilities include advising business units on a wide spectrum of legal matters related to supplier and property partnerships, negotiating and drafting commercial contracts, and managing regulatory compliance. Day-to-day tasks involve close collaboration with internal business partners, ensuring that Agoda’s operations adhere to relevant laws and regulations while facilitating rapid business growth. The role may also involve oversight of dispute resolution and working with outside counsel as required.
Candidates should be qualified lawyers with substantial post-qualification experience in private practice or in-house settings, preferably supporting technology, travel, e-commerce, or similarly regulated industries. Strong expertise in commercial law, contract negotiation, and cross-border legal issues is essential. Proven ability to lead initiatives, provide practical solutions in complex situations, and communicate effectively with both legal and non-legal stakeholders is critical for success.
