Privacy Principal Counsel
The Privacy Principal Counsel at Agoda will play a central role in designing, setting up, and supporting the privacy program for a new B2B business entity within Booking Holdings. This position involves close collaboration with colleagues across various departments, including FinTech, Product, Fraud, Legal, Internal Audit, People, and Supply, to ensure the successful launch and ongoing support of the new B2B business.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing the privacy program, which encompasses creating records of processing activities, drafting and enforcing privacy policies and notices, and establishing processes for privacy impact assessments. The role also involves providing privacy advisory support, such as building data protection contractual templates, handling privacy-related contract negotiations, and advising on privacy by design principles for product initiatives. Additionally, the counsel will manage regulatory change compliance, oversee privacy program audits, and contribute to cross-brand initiatives within the Booking Holdings family.
The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of progressive experience in privacy law, with a strong background in designing and implementing privacy programs. They should possess excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, and be capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. A law degree from a top law school and relevant certifications in data privacy are preferred.
