Director, Value Engineering (DACH) - CPG/Retail
The Director of Value Engineering for the DACH region's Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and Retail sectors at Celonis is a pivotal leadership role based in Munich, Germany. This position involves overseeing a dedicated team of 6–7 Value Engineers, focusing on driving process transformation and enterprise AI adoption across major retail and consumer goods brands. The role requires a blend of strategic oversight and hands-on involvement, engaging directly with C-level executives and key stakeholders to deliver tangible business outcomes.
Key responsibilities include owning Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) targets, renewal forecasts, and net retention metrics within the DACH CPG & Retail sector. The director will lead the recruitment, onboarding, and mentorship of the Value Engineering team, ensuring high standards through proactive coaching and performance management. Serving as a Celonis Executive Sponsor, the director will participate in critical deals, leading executive meetings, value sprints, and strategic transformation workshops. Additionally, the role involves partnering with customer executives to position Celonis as the foundation for modern process intelligence and Agentic AI adoption.
Candidates should possess native-level proficiency in German and fluency in English, as the role demands effective communication with executive decision-makers across the DACH market. A proven track record in leading pre-sales, management consulting, or value engineering teams within Enterprise SaaS, Enterprise AI, or Management Consulting is essential. Deep domain expertise in supply chain, procurement, fulfillment, and operational processes within the CPG & Retail industries is required. Demonstrated experience in managing or mentoring a team of 6–7 high-performing individuals, with a strong passion for team coaching and talent development, is also necessary.
