Arista Networks is seeking a multi-disciplined individual to build engineering tools and processes in Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Product Data Management (PDM). The ECAD Application Engineer will develop expertise in electrical CAD (ECAD) tools and their applications, becoming a subject matter expert for the Electrical Engineering (EE) community. This role involves staying current with industry trends and developments, particularly in ECAD tools, and demonstrating a strong working knowledge of how these tools interact with PDM/PLM systems.

Key responsibilities include providing hands-on support for end users, utilizing strong problem-solving skills and tool expertise. The engineer will evaluate new features and functions within existing or potential ECAD tools to assess their benefits. Collaborating with ECAD tool vendors to resolve issues, advocate for enhancements, and drive adoption of ECAD tools through process development and training are also essential duties. Additionally, defining best practices through documentation and requirements definition for ECAD automation development is expected.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Experience in identifying engineering use-cases and defining requirements for software development is crucial. Proficiency in CAD tools such as Cadence Schematic Capture tools, Cadence Allegro, Cadence Pulse, Cadence ACC, Cadence Skill Programming, Perforce, Egnyte, and Agile is required. Familiarity with technologies like Python, Golang, C/C++, TCL, JSON, MySQL, Linux, and Windows NT is considered a plus.

The base salary for this role ranges from $127,000 to $167,000, with actual compensation based on factors including skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and work location. Arista offers competitive pay appropriate to the market, along with discretionary bonuses and equity for certain roles.
