Education Growth Lead - UKI
The Education Growth Lead for the UK and Ireland at Canva is responsible for driving the adoption and sustained use of Canva's platform among educators and students. This role involves developing and executing growth strategies that range from engaging individual teachers to forming partnerships with educational institutions. The position is based in Canva's London campus, situated in the vibrant Hoxton Square area of Shoreditch.
Key responsibilities include owning the education growth vertical in the UK and Ireland by increasing activation and repeat usage among teachers and students. The role requires designing and implementing comprehensive education growth strategies, from grassroots teacher engagement to partnerships at the municipal level. A significant focus is on embedding Canva into daily classroom activities, shifting the emphasis from training to activation and retention. The Education Growth Lead will also work to align various departments—Sales, Marketing, Content, Product, and Partnerships—around clear educational growth objectives. Additionally, the role involves identifying and mitigating onboarding challenges to facilitate sustained usage at scale, as well as developing scalable, locally relevant initiatives to drive continuous acquisition and engagement.
The ideal candidate has experience in building or scaling measurable markets, verticals, or segments and can clearly articulate the growth levers behind such successes. A strong understanding of activation, retention, and habit formation is essential, moving beyond mere awareness or top-line sales. The role demands a hands-on approach, comfort with operating without a rigid playbook, and the ability to navigate both grassroots environments and strategic conversations with partners, stakeholders, and government entities. Success in cross-functional environments and the ability to influence without direct authority are crucial. Curiosity, adaptability, and enthusiasm for shaping a developing vertical are also key attributes.
Canva offers a range of benefits to support employees' success both inside and outside of work. These include equity packages to share in the company's success, an inclusive parental leave policy supporting all parents and carers, and an annual Vibe & Thrive allowance to promote wellbeing, social connection, and office setup. Flexible leave options are also available, allowing employees to recharge or take time to give back.
Joining Canva means becoming part of a dynamic and innovative company that is redefining how the world experiences design. The London campus provides a collaborative and vibrant work environment, with opportunities to engage with a diverse team and contribute to meaningful projects. The company culture emphasizes creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning, offering ample growth opportunities for employees.
