The Product Manager - Subscriptions Lifecycle role at Canva focuses on overseeing the entire subscription lifecycle, a critical component of the company's revenue stream. This position is part of the Subscriptions team, which is responsible for the monetization platform that enables the launch, experimentation, and growth of Canva's subscriber base. The team ensures a seamless and transparent experience for subscribers, managing aspects such as product offerings, pricing, discounting, user communication, and access to premium features.

Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining a prioritized lifecycle roadmap that balances immediate retention improvements with long-term platform investments. The role involves making pricing and plan changes seamless, reducing involuntary churn, and building scalable self-serve lifecycle infrastructure. Additionally, the Product Manager will collaborate with Growth, Data, Monetization, and International teams to establish self-serve capabilities that allow various teams within Canva to run lifecycle campaigns independently, thereby supporting the company's revenue growth.

The ideal candidate should have 6–8 years of product management experience, preferably in subscriptions, retention, lifecycle, or platform teams. Experience in subscription lifecycle optimization and revenue retention is essential. The candidate should have a background in building or contributing to platform products, understanding the trade-offs between flexibility and standardization, and the requirements for internal adoption. Proficiency in metrics, experimentation, and insight generation is crucial, along with proactive problem-framing and roadmap development skills. Strong leadership through influence, trust-building, and a commitment to delivering excellent user experiences are also important qualities.

Canva offers a range of benefits, including equity packages, an inclusive parental leave policy, an annual Vibe & Thrive allowance to support wellbeing, social connection, and office setup, as well as flexible leave options to support personal needs.

The company fosters a collaborative and fast-paced environment, encouraging team members to set ambitious goals and achieve them. Canva values diversity and inclusivity, celebrating various skills and backgrounds, and is committed to providing reasonable adjustments during the interview process to accommodate all candidates.
