Embodied AI Researcher (VLA Models)
Hyphen Connect is seeking an innovative Embodied AI Researcher to advance the development and application of foundation models in robotics. This role focuses on designing models and experiments that enhance robotic capabilities through deep learning and zero-shot generalization. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of AI in practical robotic applications.
Key responsibilities include training foundation models for robotics using architectures similar to RT-X, aligning text-based reasoning processes with low-level robotic control policies, and designing experiments to evaluate zero-shot generalization in robotic systems. The researcher will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate AI models into real-world robotic applications and present findings at internal and external conferences.
Candidates should possess a PhD or equivalent research experience in Deep Learning and Robotics, with a proven track record of publications in top-tier conferences such as CoRL, ICRA, and NeurIPS. Practical experience with imitation learning and behavior cloning techniques is essential, along with strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch. Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively are also required.
Hyphen Connect offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $150,000 to $210,000, depending on experience and location. Additional incentives and benefits are also provided.
