Embodied AI Researcher (VLA Models)

Hyphen Connect is seeking an innovative and experienced Embodied AI Researcher to join our team in Boston, USA. This role focuses on the development and application of foundation models in robotics, aiming to advance the field through deep learning and zero-shot generalization techniques.

The successful candidate will be responsible for training foundation models for robotics, utilizing architectures similar to RT-X. They will align text-based reasoning processes with low-level robotic control policies and design experiments to evaluate zero-shot generalization in robotic systems. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to integrate AI models into practical robotic applications is a key aspect of this role. Additionally, the researcher will document and present findings at internal and external conferences.

Candidates should possess a PhD or equivalent research experience in Deep Learning and Robotics. A proven track record of publications in top-tier conferences such as CoRL, ICRA, and NeurIPS is essential. Practical experience with imitation learning and behavior cloning techniques is required, along with strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch. Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively are also important.
