EMC Technician
The EMC Technician at Eurofins is responsible for conducting electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing on electrical and electronic products to ensure compliance with regulatory and international standards. This role involves collaborating with compliance engineers to set up test configurations, execute test plans, collect data, and maintain accurate records within an accredited laboratory environment.
Key responsibilities include performing various EMC tests such as Radiated Emissions (RE), Conducted Emissions (CE), and Immunity testing (ESD, EFT, Surge, Radiated Immunity). The technician will execute test plans in accordance with standards like FCC Part 15, CISPR 32, IEC 61000-4-2, and IEC 61000-4-3. Additionally, the role requires accurate recording of test data, capturing test configurations and observations, and maintaining clear and traceable test records as per laboratory procedures.
Candidates should possess an associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent hands-on experience in EMC or RF testing. A minimum of 0-3 years of experience in EMC/EMI testing is required. Proficiency with spectrum analyzers and receivers, familiarity with FCC/CISPR EMC standards, basic understanding of lab safety and EMC principles, and basic computer skills (Excel, Word) are essential. The role also demands the ability to move and set up test equipment weighing between 25-50 lbs.
The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $90,000 annually.
