EMC/Wireless Engineer
Eurofins is seeking an EMC/Wireless Engineer to join our team in Austin, Texas. This role focuses on evaluating the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) of various electronic devices and systems. The engineer will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to ensuring product safety and compliance with industry standards.
Key responsibilities include preparing and setting up EMC testing equipment and environments, conducting EMC and EMI tests to identify potential interference issues, analyzing test data to assess electromagnetic interference levels, and documenting test results with recommended corrective actions. The role also involves maintaining and calibrating testing equipment to ensure accuracy and collaborating with other engineers to troubleshoot and resolve EMC/EMI issues.
Candidates should possess an associate degree or technical certification in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field. Previous experience in EMC/EMI testing is preferred. Essential skills include a strong understanding of electromagnetic principles and testing methodologies, proficiency with EMC testing equipment and software, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, along with comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, and paid vacation and holidays. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
