Employment Law Attorney
Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to protecting the people, not the powerful, is seeking an Employment Law Attorney to join its growing Employment Law department. This role offers the opportunity to handle a heavy and complex caseload from pre-litigation through trial preparation and trial. The position is available in various offices, including Chicago, Illinois; Detroit, Michigan; and locations in Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio.
As an Employment Law Attorney at Morgan & Morgan, you will manage cases from pre-litigation to litigation, primarily handling the pre-suit phase and assisting senior attorneys once a claim files suit. Your responsibilities will include drafting and filing litigation documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, responses, demands, motions, and memoranda. You will guide clients through the case process, interact with expert witnesses—including conducting conferences and drafting expert reports and affidavits—and prepare for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances.
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a fully ABA-accredited law school and be an active member in good standing with the State Bar Association. Experience with wage and hour claims is a plus. The ideal candidate should have the ability to manage a high volume of pre-litigation and litigation cases, excellent client service and communication skills, and be a self-starter driven by long-term career goals.
