Engineering Manager

As an Engineering Manager at Headout, you will lead a product engineering team, focusing on both technical and personnel development. Headout is a rapidly growing company with $130 million in revenue, operating in over 100 cities, and has been profitable for 18 months. In this role, you will guide and mentor a team of talented engineers, making key decisions in design, architecture, and implementation to build scalable and efficient systems. You will take full responsibility for the success of critical projects, ensuring measurable business impact rather than just focusing on project delivery. Collaborating closely with product managers, you will drive alignment between engineering efforts and business goals to deliver meaningful results.

The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years leading engineering teams. Strong technical expertise in system design, architecture, and backend/frontend development is essential. Hands-on experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes, is required. Proficiency in building scalable distributed systems, microservices, and high-performance applications is also necessary.
