Engineering Manager - (JavaScript/Java) - Organising Content

Canva is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Organising Content team within the Content Management Sub-Group. This team is dedicated to enhancing how users store, navigate, and organize their designs, aligning with Canva's strategy to drive team collaboration. The role involves building features integral to the daily experience of over 100 million users, emphasizing performance and reliability.

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for developing new experiences supporting the storage of various asset types and evolving existing features across Folders, Media, Video, Audio, Document, and Search. This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to design scalable solutions, leading continuous improvement efforts, and troubleshooting technical issues within the team's domain.

Candidates should have proven experience leading engineering teams, providing regular, practical feedback, and setting clear goals. A strong background in JavaScript and Java is essential, along with the ability to foster a collaborative and pragmatic engineering culture. Experience in writing and reviewing design documents, breaking projects into milestones, and ensuring project delivery is also required.
