The Engineering Manager for the Payments Platform at 8am will lead a team dedicated to developing and enhancing scalable, cloud-based web applications. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with over five years of experience in designing, building, deploying, and debugging scalable, cloud-based web applications. Proficiency in frontend technologies, API development, and SQL-based databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL is essential. The candidate should have a deep understanding of software architecture, including SOLID principles and design patterns, along with 2-3 years of experience leading engineering teams. Strong strategic planning, prioritization, and stakeholder collaboration abilities, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills, are also required.
