Engineering Team Leader
As an Engineering Team Leader at Remote, you will oversee a small product team of 3-5 engineers, guiding them in developing and delivering high-quality software solutions. In this role, you will spend approximately 30% of your time on management tasks, including hiring, onboarding, and providing continuous feedback to your team members. The remaining time will be dedicated to active participation in product development, ensuring the team delivers secure, reliable, and scalable systems. You will also be responsible for redesigning engineering workflows with autonomous agents, proposing and operationalizing agentic workflows, and building reusable agentic workflows and primitives in the codebase.
The ideal candidate has experience managing an engineering team of at least two people and possesses extensive experience with backend technologies such as Elixir/Phoenix, Ruby, or functional programming. Strong engineering fundamentals, a track record of shipping production systems, and practical experience with agentic/automation workflows are essential. Excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and a commitment to promoting Remote's values within the team and the greater organization are also required.
Remote offers a competitive annual salary range of $75,450 to $169,700 USD, along with benefits such as flexible paid time off, flexible working hours, 16 weeks of paid parental leave, mental health support services, stock options, a learning budget, and a home office budget.
