Entry-Level Attorney
The United Firm | La Liga Defensora, APC is seeking a dedicated Entry-Level Criminal Defense Attorney to join our Los Angeles office. This role offers an excellent opportunity for recent law graduates or newly admitted attorneys to gain substantial experience in criminal defense within a dynamic and supportive environment. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced Criminal Defense Team, reporting directly to the Managing Criminal Defense Attorney.
In this position, the attorney will manage a diverse caseload, advising clients on their legal rights and drafting pertinent legal documents. Responsibilities include attending pretrial hearings, representing clients in court appearances and trials, drafting motions, interviewing witnesses, and conducting comprehensive legal research. The role also involves analyzing case outcomes based on legal precedents and gathering additional evidence to support clients' cases or counter prosecution charges.
Candidates must possess a Juris Doctorate degree and have demonstrated interest in criminal defense law through law school clinics, volunteer work, or internships. Active bar admission is required, though law graduates awaiting admission will also be considered. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to manage a caseload effectively, and a collaborative team spirit are essential. While not mandatory, bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred, as is experience with case management software.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $90,000 annually, with potential for higher compensation based on experience.
