Entry-level Criminal Defense Attorney
The United Firm | La Liga Defensora, APC is seeking an Entry-Level Criminal Defense Attorney to join their team in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. This role offers a promising opportunity for a dedicated attorney to gain valuable experience and advance their career within a premier law firm. As an Entry-Level Criminal Defense Attorney, you will report directly to the Managing Criminal Defense Attorney and collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal assistants.
In this position, you will be responsible for advising clients on their legal rights and drafting related legal documents. You will attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients, providing strategic guidance after each session. Your duties will also include managing court appearances, trials, drafting motions, interviewing witnesses, and conducting legal research. Additionally, you will analyze potential case outcomes using knowledge of legal precedents and manage a caseload effectively. Gathering evidence to support clients' cases and preparing them for depositions are also key aspects of this role.
Ideal candidates will have a demonstrated interest in criminal defense law through law school clinics, volunteer work, or internships. A Juris Doctorate degree and active bar admission are required; law graduates awaiting admission will also be considered. The ability to collaborate effectively with fellow associates and manage a caseload is essential. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not mandatory. Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to exceptional client service are crucial for success in this role.
The compensation for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 per year. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid parking, and paid time off.
