Environmental Simulation and Performance Lab Manager
The Environmental Simulation and Performance Lab Manager at Eurofins is responsible for overseeing the full operation of the Environmental Simulation Lab in Baltimore, Maryland. This role involves leading technical staff, managing revenue budgets, coordinating projects, maintaining equipment, and developing new service offerings. The manager will drive performance in a broad range of environmental testing services while supporting strategic growth in specialized Military, Defense, and Aerospace testing.
Key responsibilities include serving as the primary technical contact for customers, managing incoming Requests for Quotations (RFQs), developing and executing test plans in compliance with industry standards, mentoring engineers and technicians, conducting tests, overseeing equipment calibration and maintenance, performing quality assurance checks, interfacing with cross-functional teams, coordinating training, leading research efforts to develop new testing services, developing project schedules, collaborating with other Eurofins personnel, and maintaining efficient and safe facilities.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field (preferred); a minimum of 10 years of experience in a laboratory environment with hands-on expertise in environmental simulation testing across commercial, industrial, and ideally some Military, Defense, or Aerospace applications; familiarity with standards such as IEC, ASTM, MIL-STD-810, RTCA/DO-160; experience working with diverse cross-functional teams; business-to-business sales or customer-facing technical experience; willingness and ability to travel as needed; a valid driver's license; and authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
