Strongpoint Partners is seeking an experienced ERISA Attorney to join Carlson & Quinn, a respected third-party administration firm and valued partner within the Strongpoint network. This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of retirement plan documents and participant communications. The ERISA Attorney will collaborate closely with Senior Consultants and Plan Administrators to interpret plan provisions, navigate complex regulatory requirements, and support day-to-day retirement plan operations.

Key responsibilities include drafting and reviewing various retirement plan documents such as 401(k), profit-sharing, ESOP, 403(b), and non-governmental 457(b) plans. The attorney will prepare plan restatements, amendments, board resolutions, and adoption agreement updates, ensuring all documents comply with ERISA, IRS qualification requirements, and evolving regulatory guidance. Additionally, the role involves supporting plan mergers and terminations, preparing necessary documentation, and maintaining and updating summary plan descriptions (SPDs) and related addenda.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in retirement plan administration, consulting, or a related field, with deep expertise in drafting and reviewing retirement plan documents, including pre-approved and individually designed plans. A strong knowledge of ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, Treasury regulations, IRS guidance, and DOL requirements is essential. Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, along with strong analytical and organizational abilities, are required. Proven research skills and the ability to interpret and apply complex regulations are also necessary.
