Facility & Laboratory Maintenance Technician
Eurofins Genomics is seeking a Facility & Laboratory Maintenance Technician to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky. As a leader in oligonucleotide synthesis, we provide high-quality DNA and RNA products to clients worldwide. This role is integral to maintaining our manufacturing facility's infrastructure and ensuring seamless operations in a regulated environment.
The technician will be responsible for routine building maintenance, including lighting, electrical fixtures, minor plumbing, and structural components. They will support facility utility systems such as HVAC and compressed air, manage chemical reagent and waste handling, and coordinate with external contractors for specialized services. Additionally, the role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and validation of laboratory and production equipment, including oligo synthesizers and automated liquid handling systems.
Candidates should possess strong experience in building and facility maintenance, with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. An associate degree in Electronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Excel, as well as experience handling hazardous chemicals, is required. Forklift certification or the ability to obtain it is also necessary.
