Arista Networks is seeking a Federal Technical Solutions Engineer to support critical missions across defense, intelligence, and civilian agencies. This role involves providing advanced technical support to U.S. government customers who rely on Arista's secure and resilient networking solutions. The position is part of a specialized support organization that collaborates closely with federal agencies, system integrators, and defense contractors to ensure optimal performance and compliance.

Key responsibilities include delivering advanced technical support via phone, email, and secure communication channels; troubleshooting and resolving complex hardware, software, and network configuration issues in data center, campus, and routing deployments; collaborating with cross-functional teams to address escalated issues promptly; supporting product installation, operation, and optimization in line with federal security and operational standards; documenting customer interactions and recurring issues; and contributing to the development of knowledge base content and best practices tailored to the federal networking community.

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; 2–5 years of hands-on experience in designing, deploying, configuring, and supporting network environments; strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies such as AAA/TACACS, ACL, ARP, BGP, DHCP, Ethernet, ICMP, IGMP, IPv4/IPv6, LACP, LLDP, MPLS, NAT, OSPF, PIM, QoS, RIP, SNMP, STP/RSTP/MST, VLAN, and VRF; proficiency with troubleshooting tools like tcpdump, Wireshark, and IXIA; strong Linux command-line and scripting skills (Python, shell, etc.); excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly for high-security or compliance-driven environments; U.S. citizenship with the ability to pass background checks and potential clearance processes (active security clearances such as TS/SCI are preferred but not mandatory); experience supporting U.S. federal customers or integrators (DoD, IC, or Civilian) is preferred; familiarity with FIPS, DISA STIGs, and other government compliance standards; and industry certifications (CCNP, JNCIP, Arista ACE, or similar) are a plus.

The new hire base pay for this role ranges from $71,000 to $137,000 annually. Arista offers different pay ranges based on work location to provide consistent and competitive compensation appropriate to the market. The actual base pay offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and work location. In addition to base pay, certain roles may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and equity. U.S.-based employees are also entitled to benefits including medical, dental, vision, wellbeing, tax savings, and income protection.
