The Field Reimbursement Manager at Kyowa Kirin North America is a regionally field-based role focused on providing reimbursement and access support for patients prescribed rare disease products. Reporting to the Director of Patient Access Solutions, this position collaborates closely with healthcare providers, patients, and caregivers to address and overcome barriers to patient access and reimbursement. The role covers the Northwest region, including states such as Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Alaska, and parts of California, with ideal candidates residing near major airports in cities like San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, or Denver.

Key responsibilities include coordinating care by working with healthcare providers to ensure patient access to prescribed therapies. The manager conducts in-person meetings with patients, healthcare providers, and office staff to educate them on product-specific coverage, reimbursement processes, alternative insurance options, and other relevant information to facilitate continued access to rare disease products. Additionally, the role involves assisting healthcare providers with general reimbursement information and processes to help them obtain necessary reimbursements for their patients.

The position requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of 5 years in a Market Access and/or Patient Services role, with extensive knowledge in patient access and reimbursement. Proficiency in MS Office Suite is essential. Preferred qualifications include 3 or more years of informal leadership experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, experience with rare disease and specialty products, and the ability to speak Spanish. The ideal candidate should be highly patient-focused, demonstrate exceptional enthusiasm and a drive to succeed, and possess excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
