Finance Business Partner, AI & Software
Lila Sciences is expanding its Scientific Superintelligence platform and is seeking a Finance Business Partner to support the AI/ML, Software, and Infrastructure teams. This role involves collaborating with technology leaders to transform data into actionable decisions and bring clarity to complex financial landscapes.
Key responsibilities include providing comprehensive financial leadership encompassing planning, performance management, investment governance, and risk controls. The role requires translating technical roadmaps into financial outcomes, producing materials for the Board and investors, and supporting fundraising activities. Additionally, the position involves cash runway modeling, scenario planning, headcount and capacity planning, and translating technical cost data into clear narratives for executives.
Candidates should have 7-10+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, or similar analytical roles, with a preference for startup or scale-up experience. Demonstrated experience in building driver-based models, annual planning, rolling forecasts, KPI dashboards, and management reporting is essential. Hands-on experience with technology cost management, including cloud infrastructure, compute/GPU, SaaS, and AI/ML cost structures, is strongly preferred. Strong financial acumen, accounting fluency, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly are also required.
The expected base salary range for this position is $148,000 to $196,000 USD. Lila Sciences offers competitive compensation, including bonus potential and generous early equity. The final offer will reflect the candidate's unique background, expertise, and impact.
