FinCrime CDD Analyst
Capital on Tap is seeking a FinCrime CDD Analyst to join their Financial Crime team in Manchester. This hybrid role requires office attendance three days per week, with working hours from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday. The Financial Crime team, consisting of 62 members globally, ensures the company meets its regulatory obligations concerning Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF).
The FinCrime CDD Analyst will perform ongoing due diligence on SME customers in the UK and US, maintaining accurate Know Your Business (KYB) records. Responsibilities include reviewing beneficial ownership structures, assessing business activities to ensure compliance with risk appetite and regulatory standards, conducting transaction monitoring to identify unusual patterns, and engaging directly with customers to clarify details or request documentation. The analyst will make risk-based decisions and collaborate with the wider FinCrime team to share insights and enhance review processes.
Candidates should have experience in financial crime roles, particularly in customer due diligence or ongoing monitoring for SME corporate customers. A strong understanding of KYB and CDD regulatory requirements in both UK and US jurisdictions is essential. The role requires analytical and investigative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills are necessary for interacting with internal stakeholders and external customers. A recognized AML or Financial Crime qualification, such as ICA or ACAMS, is desirable but not essential.
