FinCrime Due Diligence Analyst
Capital on Tap is seeking a FinCrime Due Diligence Analyst to join their Financial Crime team in Manchester. This role is integral to ensuring the company's compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) regulations, focusing on small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) customers in both the UK and US. The Financial Crime team, comprising over 60 professionals globally, plays a crucial role in safeguarding the organization against financial crimes.
As a FinCrime Due Diligence Analyst, your primary responsibilities will include conducting ongoing due diligence on SME customers, maintaining accurate Know Your Business (KYB) records, and reviewing beneficial ownership structures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. You will assess the nature of business activities to confirm they align with Capital on Tap's risk appetite, perform transaction monitoring to identify unusual patterns, and engage directly with customers to clarify ownership details or request updated documentation. Additionally, you will make informed, risk-based decisions and collaborate with the wider Financial Crime team to enhance ongoing review processes.
The ideal candidate will have experience in financial crime roles, particularly in customer due diligence or ongoing monitoring for SME corporate customers. A strong understanding of KYB and CDD regulatory requirements across both UK and US jurisdictions is essential. Proficiency in analyzing and recording ownership and control structures, experience in transaction monitoring, and the ability to identify suspicious activity are crucial. Strong analytical and investigative skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities are also required.
