FinCrime Operations Analyst - Sanctions

The FinCrime Operations Analyst - Sanctions role is integral to Wise's commitment to compliance and security, focusing on assessing and mitigating sanctions-related risks.
In this position, the analyst will be responsible for evaluating alerts generated by sanctions screening systems to identify potential concerns. Key duties include adhering to operational procedures for handling sanctions alerts, analyzing potential matches against sanctions lists, communicating with customers to gather necessary information, escalating alerts that may require reporting, and contributing to the refinement of automated sanctions screening methodologies to reduce false positives and enhance customer experience.
Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret data effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential. An inquisitive mindset, proficiency in conducting legal and investigative research using open-source systems, and the capacity to make independent judgment calls are also important. While prior experience or knowledge of sanctions and financial crime is advantageous, it is not mandatory.
The compensation for this role ranges from 6,900 to 7,450 BRL per month, with additional benefits and potential for Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The working model is flexible; during the initial six months, employees are expected to be in the office most days to fully integrate into Wise's culture and operations. After this period, a minimum of three days per week in the office is required.
