Wise is seeking a Product Compliance and Risk Manager specializing in financial crime to join their APAC Wise Platform team in Singapore. This pivotal role aims to enhance the platform's product foundations and expand its offerings across the Asia-Pacific region. The primary focus is on financial crime compliance, alongside broader regulatory risks, ensuring the APAC Wise Platform remains resilient and audit-ready.

In this first-line Product Compliance role, embedded within the APAC and Wise Platform Squad, responsibilities include:

- **Proactive Gap Analysis and Remediation:**
- Utilize a deep understanding of Wise Platform products and local APAC regulations to identify potential financial crime risks, preventing regulatory breaches and incidents.
- Lead end-to-end remediation efforts when gaps are identified, ensuring compliance with both internal standards and external expectations.
- Collaborate with second-line Compliance and Risk teams to prioritize significant risks, translating regulatory reforms into actionable product requirements.

- **Product Development and Compliance:**
- Work closely with Product teams during the implementation of new products and features to ensure compliance controls are effectively integrated.
- Support Commercial teams by applying a pragmatic, risk-based approach to partner solutions, aligning with business objectives.

- **Regional Localization and Global Alignment:**
- Assess how global identified risks and controls apply in APAC, ensuring local nuances are captured in global frameworks and regional product risk assessments.
- Act as the primary advocate for APAC Wise Platform Product Compliance within global teams, ensuring regional risks are visible and addressed at the global level.

Candidates should have at least six years of experience in regulatory assurance or financial crime compliance within a financial technology company, with a focus on correspondent banking, remittance, or financial services partnerships across APAC markets being advantageous. The role requires the ability to analyze and interpret complex regulatory frameworks effectively, a problem-solving attitude, and a proactive approach to project delivery. Strong collaboration skills with various stakeholders, clear communication abilities, and a willingness to travel are also desirable.
