Food Technologist- Product & Process Development

The Food Technologist role at Eurofins' National Food Lab involves developing prototype formulations, understanding ingredient functionality, and sourcing ingredients for new products. The position supports pilot plant production runs, shelf life studies, and ensures compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for product testing.

Key responsibilities include executing bench-top experiments, conducting nutritional and component analyses, writing specifications, and performing shelf life and sensory studies. The technologist will document work, maintain laboratory records, support pilot plant trials, operate processing equipment, and interface with ingredient suppliers. Additional duties involve preparing product samples for evaluation, assisting in writing reports and protocols, staying updated on industry developments, and training less experienced staff.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science or a related field. Basic knowledge of computer and software programs is required, and previous product development experience is advantageous.
