ABOUT THE ROLE

The General Manager – UK will lead the build and growth of BJAK’s UK business.

This role owns the market end-to-end — from regulatory readiness and insurer partnerships to product launch and revenue growth. You will be responsible for building a competitive insurance platform in the UK by securing strong insurer participation, establishing distribution, and driving commercial performance.

We are looking for a hands-on operator who can move quickly from strategy to execution and build a scalable business in a highly competitive market.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

MARKET ENTRY & BUSINESS PLANNING

• Lead the execution of the UK market strategy plan, including implementing the business plan covering regulatory setup, partnerships, distribution, and growth strategy.

REGULATORY & LICENSING

• Oversee the process of obtaining the necessary FCA licences and regulatory approvals required to operate in the UK insurance market.

• Work with internal and external legal and compliance teams to ensure ongoing adherence to FCA requirements and industry standards.

INSURER PARTNERSHIPS & DISTRIBUTION

• Build and manage relationships with insurers, underwriting partners, and ecosystem players in the UK market.

• Negotiate commercial partnerships, product distribution agreements, and integration arrangements.

• Develop a strong product lineup from insurer partners to ensure competitive offerings in the market.
