Global Category Lead (M/F)
Eurofins is seeking a strategic and results-driven Global Category Lead to develop and implement a worldwide purchasing strategy for a specific subcategory. This role offers the opportunity to drive innovation, deliver financial results, and influence sustainability initiatives across Eurofins' international network. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping a best-in-class procurement function, leading high-impact global sourcing initiatives, and building strategic supplier relationships.
Key responsibilities include leading assigned subcategory projects and supplier relationship management activities, providing global category management for a range of purchasing categories, and developing strategic plans to achieve financial goals. The role also involves ensuring effective supplier selection, managing global tendering processes, negotiating and drafting contracts aligned with business objectives, and establishing solid relationships with regional Purchasing Managers and key stakeholders. Additionally, the Global Category Lead will perform active market research for new products and suppliers, identify opportunities for cost optimization through spend data analysis, and conduct supplier benchmarking and KPI assessments.
The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in Supply Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field, along with over five years of experience in purchasing, procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, with an emphasis on international category management. At least one year of hands-on people management experience in a purchasing team is required. Strong data analysis skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and excellent knowledge of direct categories or products are essential. Business fluency in English, coupled with great presentation and communication skills, is also necessary.
