The Global Risk Operations Lead for Correspondent Banking at Wise is a pivotal role within the Wise Platform team, focusing on scaling and strengthening the onboarding and ongoing monitoring processes for enterprise businesses and banking partners. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for assessing partner compliance programs and policies, conducting comprehensive risk assessments, and implementing robust monitoring systems to track partners' compliance operations. Collaboration across departments is essential to ensure timely onboarding and a seamless experience for banks and enterprise partners. Additionally, you will educate cross-functional teams, particularly in commercial departments, about partner risk, supporting informed decision-making when thresholds are met.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in compliance risk management within financial services, with a strong background in Correspondent Banking. Proven leadership skills, including the ability to build and scale high-performing compliance or risk teams in fast-paced environments, are essential. Strong stakeholder management capabilities, proficiency with data to set and monitor KPIs and SLAs, and excellent problem-solving skills utilizing regulations and data for strategic decision-making are also required.
