Rocket Lab is seeking a Global Trade Compliance Associate to join their team at the global headquarters in Long Beach, CA. This entry-level position focuses on supporting U.S. import and export compliance activities within the company's end-to-end space operations. The role involves assisting with trade compliance tasks, including preparing and reviewing export documentation, supporting import entry processes, and maintaining accurate compliance records.

Key responsibilities include preparing, reviewing, and submitting applications for export/import licenses and permits, analyzing and interpreting export and import regulations, and maintaining organized compliance records. The associate will also support the implementation of trade compliance procedures, assist with internal audits and periodic reviews, and conduct basic screening activities under guidance. Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as logistics, engineering, supply chain, and security is essential.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience and a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements. Familiarity with ITAR, EAR, and U.S. Customs regulations is preferred. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems, are advantageous. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret and follow established procedures are essential.

The position is based onsite in Long Beach, CA, and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be able to work both at detail and strategic levels, remain calm under pressure, and display sound judgment.
