Grain Inspector - Part-time
Eurofins is seeking a dedicated Grain Inspector to join our team, playing a crucial role in supporting farmers and ensuring the quality of America's food supply. As a part-time member of our grain inspection team, you will contribute to maintaining industry standards and strengthening rural communities.
In this role, you will be responsible for testing and grading grain samples for various quality parameters, including moisture content, weight, foreign materials, mycotoxins, and non-GMO traits. Accurate recording and communication of results to stakeholders such as truck drivers, merchandisers, and farmers are essential. Additionally, you will assist in maintaining sample flow through the laboratory, support grain operations, and serve as a liaison between Eurofins and grain companies.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, with 0–3 years of related experience being advantageous. Proficiency in computer applications like Excel and Outlook is important, along with strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Physical requirements include the ability to stand or sit for extended periods, lift up to 15 pounds, and navigate stairs. A commitment to safety and customer service is paramount.
Compensation for this position is $16.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 12:30 pm, with weekend work as needed.
