Graphic Designer

Baselayer is seeking a Graphic Designer to enhance and maintain the company's visual identity across various platforms. As a key member of a small, dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to shape the brand's presence in the fintech industry. This role offers a unique chance to work closely with marketing, product, and leadership teams to create compelling visual content that resonates with Baselayer's audience.

In this position, you will be responsible for designing a wide range of materials, including web pages, static graphics, infographics, marketing campaigns, social media content, sales presentations, and event and investor materials. Your work will involve translating complex technical concepts into clear, engaging visuals that effectively communicate Baselayer's value proposition. Additionally, you will establish and evolve templates and reusable assets to streamline the design process and maintain consistency across all touchpoints.

The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in graphic or brand design, with a portfolio that demonstrates versatility and attention to detail. Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Flora is essential. Skills in motion graphics, illustration, and short-form video are highly desirable. A strong foundation in typography, layout, color theory, and brand systems is crucial, along with the ability to independently manage projects from concept to completion.

This is a part-time position based in New York City, requiring a commitment of 20 or more hours per week. The compensation is an hourly rate ranging from $40 to $50. As a member of Baselayer, you will be part of a close-knit team dedicated to innovation and excellence in the fintech sector.
