Head of AML Process and Intelligence
The Head of AML Process and Intelligence at Wise leads teams dedicated to enhancing Anti-Money Laundering (AML) operations. This role focuses on developing world-class training programs, implementing rigorous quality control measures, and managing outsourcing partnerships to ensure operational teams deliver fast, fair, and compliant outcomes for customers. The position is pivotal in building scalable and effective foundations that support excellence in AML operations.
Key responsibilities include overseeing training and development strategies for AML operations, designing engaging and practical training programs, and building scalable learning frameworks for global teams and outsourced partners. The role also involves leading the Quality Control function to ensure accurate and consistent investigations, developing robust QC frameworks, and partnering with Compliance to meet regulatory expectations. Additionally, the position manages project specialists to identify and implement operational improvements and oversees relationships with outsourced partners to maintain Wise's standards.
The ideal candidate possesses over 10 years of experience in operations, preferably within banking or fintech, with a background in financial crime areas such as AML, fraud, transaction monitoring, sanctions, or KYC. A proven track record in building and scaling training programs, coaching, and mentoring initiatives is essential, along with strong experience in quality assurance and control frameworks. Leadership experience of over 5 years in developing senior teams, operating across multiple locations and time zones, and influencing without authority is also required.
Compensation for this role ranges from EUR 5,600 to EUR 7,500 monthly.
