Head of Design

As the Head of Design at Lila Sciences, you will lead the product and industrial design efforts, shaping user experiences across the Lila App and Autonomous Science labs. This role is pivotal in achieving Scientific Superintelligence by ensuring that all features are unified into an intuitive and efficient application for scientific endeavors.

Your primary responsibilities will include defining workflows, prototyping innovative interfaces, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement cohesive, brand-aligned designs across both digital and physical products. You will be tasked with creating wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that translate user needs into clear interfaces, as well as developing a comprehensive design system to ensure consistency and scalability.

The ideal candidate will have over eight years of experience in digital product design, preferably within SaaS or data-intensive applications. A strong portfolio demonstrating a range of work from research and wireframing to polished visual designs is essential. Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, along with a deep understanding of interaction design, information architecture, and accessibility best practices, is required. Additionally, an openness to leveraging the latest AI tools to redefine design processes and excellent communication skills are crucial.

Lila Sciences offers a competitive base salary ranging from $260,000 to $346,000 USD per year, along with bonus potential and generous early equity. The final offer will reflect your unique background, expertise, and impact.
