Head of Supply Chain & Strategic Sourcing
Lila Sciences is seeking a Head of Supply Chain & Strategic Sourcing to design and scale the supply chain and strategic sourcing function to support our scientific platform. This role involves overseeing sourcing, procurement, vendor management, inventory, and payments, managing significant annual expenditures across scientific equipment, lab operations, consumables, and technology infrastructure. The position is integral to ensuring material availability, supplier performance, cost optimization, and operational resilience in a dynamic environment.
Key responsibilities include designing and scaling the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process, leading strategic sourcing efforts such as supplier selection and contract negotiations, and building scalable supply chain infrastructure to support complex labs and evolving R&D needs. The role also involves implementing and optimizing ERP/P2P systems, creating KPIs and dashboards to drive cost savings and supplier performance, establishing governance and internal controls for compliance, and centralizing procurement operations to align purchasing, payments, leasing, and working capital management.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of progressive leadership experience in procurement, supply chain, or P2P operations, with a background in high-growth settings. Experience in biotech, life sciences, AI, advanced materials, or hardware-enabled environments is preferred. Deep knowledge of ERP and procurement systems, proven success in negotiating complex supplier agreements, and experience leading cross-functional teams through rapid growth are essential. Additional qualifications include experience implementing modern procurement or ERP systems and overseeing leasing and equipment financing aligned with capital strategy.
