HPLC Scientist - Team Lead
Eurofins is seeking an HPLC Scientist - Team Lead to join our analytical team in Branchburg, New Jersey. In this role, you will lead efforts in developing and executing high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and ultra-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) methods to support the characterization of proteins and antibodies. As the HPLC Scientist - Team Lead, your primary responsibilities will include running routine assays and developing novel separation and identification assays. You will be tasked with the separation, characterization, and identification of proteins and antibodies utilizing HPLC, capillary isoelectric focusing (cIEF), BioA/GX, and other analytical techniques. Additionally, you will develop HPLC and UPLC-based chromatography methods, including size exclusion, affinity, normal-phase, reverse phase, ion exchange, and hydrophobic interaction, utilizing diode array detectors (DAD) and fluorescence detectors (FLD).
The ideal candidate will possess a BS/BA in Chemistry or related sciences, or equivalent experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries. A minimum of three years of HPLC experience is required, along with expertise in HPLC and UPLC method development. Proficiency in running routine assays and developing novel separation and identification assays is essential. A thorough understanding of various chromatography techniques, including size exclusion, affinity, normal-phase, reverse phase, ion exchange, and hydrophobic interaction, utilizing DAD and FLD detectors, is also necessary. Strong organizational, communication, collaboration, comprehension, and presentation skills are vital. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, coupled with self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude, is highly valued. Candidates must have authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $75,000 to $85,000.
