HR Specialist
Clifford Chance, a leading international law firm with over 30 offices worldwide, is seeking an HR Specialist for its Amsterdam office. The firm combines global standards with deep local expertise to provide top-quality legal advice and insight. The HR Specialist will collaborate closely with the Office Managing Partner, General Manager, HR Business Partners, the Works Council, and other key stakeholders to implement the firm's People & Talent Strategy locally.
In this role, the HR Specialist will manage a wide range of local HR topics, ensuring that policies, processes, and initiatives align with both global strategies and local laws and compliance requirements. Responsibilities include administrative handling of payroll and employee lifecycle processes, supporting the implementation of global People & Talent strategies in Amsterdam, contributing to HR initiatives in wellbeing and inclusion, serving as a point of contact for employee relations issues, assisting in labor law matters such as absenteeism and exits, ensuring accurate and consistent execution of HR processes in line with regulations, managing and optimizing HR policies and procedures, supporting payroll processes in collaboration with external parties, contributing to the annual compensation process, and coordinating global mobility processes related to immigration, relocation, and secondments.
The ideal candidate will have a broad HR background with 3–5 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably within the international legal or professional services sector. Proficiency in Dutch labor law and experience with employee relations are essential. Experience with payroll and HR lifecycle processes is required. Strong communication skills and stakeholder management abilities are necessary. The candidate should be accurate, structured, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. A hands-on, proactive approach with effective communication across various stakeholders in an international setting is important. Fluency in Dutch and English is required. A university degree (e.g., in HR, law, or psychology) is preferred.
