HRI AI Specialist (Robotics)

Hyphen Connect is seeking a Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) AI Specialist to join their team in the San Francisco Bay Area. This role focuses on developing and implementing advanced technologies that facilitate seamless and intuitive interactions between humans and robots, enhancing robotic capabilities in diverse environments.

The HRI AI Specialist will be responsible for developing intent-recognition models utilizing gaze, gesture, and voice data. They will program socially aware navigation algorithms that respect human personal space and design visual and auditory feedback systems for the robot's user interface.

Candidates should have a background in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) or cognitive science as applied to robotics. Experience in conducting user studies and testing interaction paradigms is essential. Proficiency in rapid prototyping of AI-driven voice and visual interfaces is also required.
