HRI AI Specialist (Robotics)

Hyphen Connect is seeking a Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) AI Specialist to join our team in Boston, USA. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing advanced technologies that facilitate seamless and intuitive interactions between humans and robots. Your contributions will enhance robotic capabilities, ensuring effective navigation and communication with users across diverse environments.

As an HRI AI Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include developing intent-recognition models utilizing gaze, gesture, and voice data. You will program socially aware navigation algorithms that respect human personal space and design visual and auditory feedback systems for the robot's user interface. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate these systems into our robotic platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a background in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) or cognitive science applied to robotics. Experience in conducting user studies and testing interaction paradigms is essential. Proficiency in rapid prototyping of AI-driven voice and visual interfaces is also required.
