Human Resources Business Partner
The Human Resources Business Partner at Nabis is responsible for overseeing all HR-related functions for the company's New York sites, which include approximately 50 employees. Reporting to the Director of People Operations, this role ensures that HR operations align with company goals and comply with state and federal regulations. The position requires a proactive approach to enhance efficiency, manage risks, engage employees, and foster continuous improvement and talent development.
Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day people relations functions, such as new hire onboarding, training, and conducting 30/60/90-day check-ins. The HR Business Partner will handle employee relations management, oversee full-cycle leave processes including LOA, FMLA, ADA, and workers' compensation, and lead HR investigations in accordance with legal standards. Additionally, the role involves maintaining accurate personnel records, overseeing employee status changes, and contributing to the safety committee through OSHA reporting.
Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of experience overseeing HR at a site with at least 50 hourly employees, along with proven knowledge of federal and state labor laws and regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required, and candidates must be at least 21 years of age. The role demands strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent multitasking and time management capabilities. Superior communication and interpersonal skills, adaptability, and a high level of emotional intelligence are also essential.
