Axiom is seeking an Import Trade Compliance Counsel to join its International Trade and Regulatory team. This remote position involves providing legal guidance on U.S. import laws, customs compliance, and tariff matters. The role offers the opportunity to work with high-profile clients across technology, healthcare, and manufacturing sectors, assisting them in navigating complex international trade regulations.

Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating import-related contracts and customs documentation. The counsel will provide legal guidance on import compliance, tariff mitigation, HTS classification, and country of origin determinations. Collaboration with internal teams and clients on cross-border transactions and trade compliance initiatives is essential. Managing legal and regulatory issues related to U.S. import and customs compliance, as well as staying ahead of global trade regulations to provide proactive counsel, are also critical aspects of the role.

Candidates should have proven experience advising on U.S. import regulations, HTS classification, and customs compliance. A strong knowledge of country-of-origin rules, tariffs, and trade regulations is required. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are essential. A Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent and licensure to practice law in an applicable jurisdiction are mandatory.

The estimated total compensation for full-time Axiom attorney roles ranges from $104,500 to $325,000 per year. Compensation decisions are based on various factors, including experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.
